The United States government does not require exporters to apply for an import code. While the U.S. does not require an iec code for its exports, many countries require exporters to apply for a specific country-specific import code to move products into the country.
In order to export and import restricted goods, RCMCs are required. Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), Commodity Boards, and Export Development Authorities are usually established by the Director General of Foreign Trade in order to issue restricted products. A RCMC Registration Online certificate includes a certificate of membership as well as proof of membership for exporters.
